Hello everyone! I know, I stink at this blogging thing. Oh well! So I hope you are all doing well. It is election day. I'm stressed...and sad...and I hope things turn out well. I am terrified of Obama being the President! There I said it! BLECH!
Onto happier things! Here are some new projects I did for the design team call over at Magistical Memories. The chipboard from this company is amazing! I didn't have any from them to do my projects so I did my best with other chipboard. First is a baby card.
So since I haven't posted in 2 weeks, I have 2 sketches to share from Triple the Sketch. The first one is a card I made using some Fancy Pants chipboard I had. These little pieces are so cute!
Papers: Bazzill, Fancy Pants
Alphas: Making Memories tiny alpha stickers
Embellishments: Fancy Pants chipboard shapes, Stickles baby blue
And here is the latest sketch. Number 32 was fun because I was able to use some great papers from Pink Paislee! I love their stuff!
Papers: Pink Paislee, Making Memories
Tools: Martha Stewart butterfly punch
Embellishments: Glitz bling, Pink Paislee stickers
So I hope everyone had a great Halloween! We did of course. Here are a few quick pics from Friday night! Brooklynn needed a break, then she wanted to hold Riley's hand, and then of course we have Riley wearing Brooklynn's hat! Silly kids.
I will post again tomorrow! I have some news I can't quite share yet! Stay TUNED!

Paper Mache box - unknown; pp - Melissa Frances, Bo Bunny; chipboard - bulk from LSS cut with AccuCut
I will let you know what the outcome is for this call! I am pretty excited about it because I love chipboard!!So since I haven't posted in 2 weeks, I have 2 sketches to share from Triple the Sketch. Falling oil prices
Oil was down as low as $67 on Friday but closed for the weekend at $71. I'm sure you have all started to see gas prices fall in your area. I saw this sign and was so excited that I had to take a picture. My husband thought I was nuts but it is the first time it's been under $3 in so long!
I just thought I would share and I hope you all are seeing prices this low soon!
Here is my latest project. I purchased this at Goodwill for $4.99!! Can you believe it?
I will take my new little hand sander and refinish it. I can just see how cute it will be painted white and distressed! Goodwill is a fantastic place to find old jars, shelves and little tables like this one. I will share pictures of course when I get it done.
Well I don't have too much to say today. Be sure to check out the AWESOME RAK at Triple the Sketch this weekend. Pink Persimmon is generously offering this RAK to one lucky winner this weekend!
What do you need to do to enter? You need to use this week's sketch (Sketch 29) to create a layout, card, tag, or altered item. Then you need to link it in the comment section on the Triple the Sketch website by 11:59 p.m. CST on Thursday, October 23. One lucky winner will be chosen and announced on Friday, October 24th.
And here is my take on the sketch to end my short little post! Thanks for looking!
Papers: Bazzill; Foofala; Colorbok
Embellishments: Melissa Frances stickers; Martha Stewart glitter; Scenic Route chipboard heart; Making Memories safety pin; twine and lace from craft store

A little project...
There has been a little thing I have been meaning to since we moved into the house 6 weeks ago. We have a little half bath down stairs that I want to make an elegant shabby chic. I have had this little fake potted plant that I think I got at a dollar store YEARS ago that I thought would look so cute in there on the window sill. I have not even started to decorate the bathroom but I did break down and do the plant last night. I bought some ribbon to finish it off today and here is the final project.
I am pleased with the outcome and can't wait to work on the other things for that little room. I'm feeling very motivated now that this little one is out of the way.
So Mr. Riley's glasses came in today! I picked them up on my way home from work. He looks like he aged 4 years when he puts them on!! So grown up! His expression when he put them on was priceless! It was like the whole room transformed. "WOW, I can read the TV!!" it was pretty cool.
Sorry for the blur. That child cannot keep his eyes open for a flash to save his life. I had to shoot in natural light and so it blurred because well...I have to breathe. HAH!
Well that is all for tonight! Thanks for stopping by!

SPOOKY!
Hello again! Wow two days in a row!! What is UP with that?
To start the day I want to show off my "Spooky" banner. Remember me mentioning it earlier? I hung it in my stair well and it is SO cute!!
So I guess this means I need to decorate the rest of the living room with Halloween goodies!
This week I took my son to his first eye check-up. He came home from school a few weeks ago with a letter saying he should get his eyes checked. Isn't he cute?
He did so well! And sure enough he does need glasses. Both eyes are 20/75. The doc said he was nearsighted and would have difficulty seeing the board if he were further than 10 feet. So we purchased him some glasses and I will post when I have pictures. They will take a week to get in.
Here is my latest card for Triple the Sketch. This was posted today. If you have time, stop by and check out the design teams great work and maybe play along!

Finally ready to go.
Hello friends and family! I know some of you have been checking my other blog on a regular basis to see if I have posted anything new. Well, finally I have! Hopefully the fact that I have a ton to share will make up for the fact that I have not posted anything in about a month!
First I want to say a big THANK YOU to my sister Kym for the beautiful job she did framing my wedding invitation. As some of you remember I made my own invites and since Kym and her husband Dennis own a Fast Frames it just seemed like the neato thing to do. Actually it was all Kym's idea! So anyhow...I just got it in the mail the other day and look how beautiful it is!! YAY!!
I am so excited to hang this!! Thanks again Kymmie.
Next, I am now working at one of the local scrapping stores in the area. It's called The Scrapbook Barn and I am really enjoying it. The inspiration from the ladies I work with is amazing. If I had any blog links I would hand them out but I am still a newbie and haven't asked! Anyway I am working on an awesome Halloween banner that is inspired by Melissa at work. I will post pictures when I am done.
During my little break from the blogging world I was a busy bee! I decided to break out my sewing machine and take a crack at it. I really can't sew to save my life and so I'm extremely proud of the few things I was able to make. The first picture is my witch owl. The pattern is from Tennessee Ridge Primitives. It was very easy to make and I love the outcome. Such a rustic old looking owl for Halloween!
I love him!
Next I made some coasters. My dear sister pointed out that they may not dry well and mildew?? That is icky KYM! I think they will dry just fine in Arizona. Perhaps out there where you have humidity it would be an issue but not here! They are Christmas coasters and I can't wait to put them out! I was supposed to machine stitch where you see the dark red hand stitching but I seriously am BAD and couldn't do it well enough. After removing the stitches twice I hand sewed them and WOW I totally love the outcome much better than even a good machine stitch. I stamped them with some Christmas stamps (sorry don't have them manufacturer handy at the moment) Here they are...
Next on the list of sewing projects are my ornaments. I made some star ornaments and also stamped them with the same stamps my coasters are made with. They are made of muslin and dyed with a coffee cinnamon mixture that I got from Tennessee Ridge Prims. Here they are! I have to add some ribbons for the hangers still...
So that is all for my sewing. I hope you enjoyed my goodies!
So next up...did you all have fun for world card making day? There were so many neat challenges and contests and give-aways. I made a card for Triple the Sketch. Here it is...
I used Imaginisce paper and glittered Thickers. Love those!! I also tried my hand at heat embossing. It was my first time and I like how it came out. I didn't like how the paper got darker when it came in contact with the heat though. I felt like I was going to burst into flames at any moment. Luckily I made it through without fire and the paper went back to normal when it cooled. Speaking of Triple the Sketch, here are some of my favorites that I have made recently. You may or may not have seen them.
Sketch 16 is a ATC that I made for the 2008 Scripture Challenge at CMK. I figured I could kill two birds with one stone.
Sketch 20 is also a Scripture Challenge ATC made with all Pink Paislee papers. The ribbon is a silk ribbon from the craft store.
Sketch 26 is a card I made using a felt birdie. I love the birds that Melissa Phillips uses and I don't have a clue where she gets them, or if she makes them herself, but I am totally inspired by her and her blog. Run on sentence anyone? So I made a bird by looking at hers and others and free handed a pattern.
The next sketch is number 27 and this is a LO of my daughter and I. The flower is made from rickrack that I just doubled over a bunch. The felt heart I cut out too.
That is all the sketches I have for now. I will try and post more often!! I don't know how that is going to work out but we will see. Hopefully I am inspired to come update more often! For now I have to go get the kids in bed! Thanks for checking things out! I will update links soon!
